My name is Nathalie L’Ecuyer. I was raised by an English speaking mother and a French speaking father; and so was given the privilege to be raised bilingually. Today, I am a fluent speaker of both the English and French languages.
I have been a teacher for the CSDM since October of 1998. I first started as a music teacher; and eventually returned to university to get my license as a second language teacher, specializing in English. Realising the Government planned to eventually ban all Arts from school, I abandoned musical education completely and became an English specialist in 2001. I have since been an English teacher only; but still enjoy my musical skills at home, as I continue to take private piano lessons. I also enjoy them at church: I am the organist of the Saint-Victor Parish.
The idea of this web site came to me as I was trying to find ways to motivate the children and give them access to English outside the classroom. This is very important, as it allows them to reinvest elsewhere what they learn in class with me. It is also a great help to some parents who may worry about not being able to help their children parctice English at home.
Although I am in school every day, you might find it easier to reach me at the following e-mail address: lecuyern@csdm.qc.ca. This address for anything related to school or this site; so please do not hesitate to use it. It will be a pleasure to answer you as soon as possible.
